WHAT DISCIPLESHIP HOUSE IS

Intentional Christian community

Participants share life together in ways that build healthy relationships, mutual care, and everyday faithfulness. This includes shared meals, shared responsibilities, connection across generations, and the support of mentors and community leaders.

Spiritual growth

Life in the house includes regular Bible study, prayer, worship, spiritual disciplines, reflection, and rest. Participants are encouraged to grow in Scriptural understanding, emotional and spiritual health, and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit.

Discernment

Discipleship House helps participants prayerfully discern how they may be called to participate in God’s mission. This includes intercultural learning, engagement with the communities around us, practical life skills, and deeper reflection on serving across cultures.

WHO IT IS FOR

Illustration of a Globe

Discipleship House is for those who want to be active participants in what God is doing in the world and who are seeking to prepare intentionally for faithful service. It is especially suited for young adults ages 20-30 who are nearing the end of their studies, have recently finished school, or are in a season of discernment about what comes next.

This community may be a strong fit for people who are:

  • looking for intentional Christian community

  • eager to grow in prayer, Scripture, and spiritual maturity

  • open to mentoring and shared rhythms of life

  • interested in global mission, intercultural learning, and praying for communities with limited access to the gospel

  • ready to discern next steps with others rather than alone

Time commitment and season

Discipleship House follows the school year and is broken into three terms: Sept-Dec, Jan-April, May-Aug. Participants usually commit to a year in the house, but may participate for only one term or up to two years.

Participants are expected to be working, in school, or engaged in other pertinent studies while living in the community and estimate a weekly commitment of about 12 hours for full-time students or workers and 20 hours for those with part-time commitments.
